Yercaud Lake
The Yercaud Lake is the first thing that attracts the attention of the visitor. It is a picturesque pool fed by a stream which has cut out a well-wooded ravine running from the head of the old Ghat. Boating in the ice-cold water of the Lake is enchanting as well as refreshing. There are many boats of various shapes and sizes for a trip around the lake. The visitors can rest a while on the grassy lawns situated on the shores of the lake under the shadows of big trees. There is a boat house with a canteen too. Adjacent to the lake is a beautifully maintained park named Anna Park. Initially it was around 14 acres of surface area, but today it is reduced to around 10 acres.
