Karadiyur View Point
The Karadiyur view point is situated at a location about 12 km away from Yercaud town. This is one of the most famous places to visit due to its spectacular view of the surrounding natural beauty. As with most viewpoints in the region, the best times during the day to visit are sunrise and sunset, due to the fantastic views on offer. The best season to visit is the winter months, generally between November and March. It also has the attraction of its namesake, sloth bears that are believed to frequent the area. This view point is located on the way climbing up the Shevaroyan hills via Thoppur – Kanavaipudur – Yercaud.
The road approaching to this view point is less than a kilometer from the Karadiyur main road. The roads are not properly formed. It is difficult to reach the view point during rainy season because the roads will be muddy.
